معماري ومنسّق معارض، يتنقّل أحمد مرسي بين الهندسة المعمارية والكتابة والنشر والرسم الزيتي والبحث الأرشيفي والفيديو. يستكشف الكثير من عمله موضوعات تتعلّق بالفضاءات المدينية الغير ممتثلة وسياسات التدهور.
من خلال رسالة الماجستير، أجرى بحثًا تناول تاريخ وتطوّر إعادة الاستخدام التكيّفي والتداخل بين المساحات الفنية المتمردة والتنمية الحضرية النيوليبرالية التي تُوظّف الفنون
ونال جائزة

المقدّمة من مؤسسة برادا.
في عام 2021 شارك أحمد في تأسيس "مطبوعات داتالاند".
بعد ذلك، تابع شهادة في تنسيق المعارض في جامعة زيورخ للفنون،
والتي تلتها
زمالة تنسيقية في مؤسسة برادا في ميلانو.
يواصل أحمد ممارسة العمارة الداخلية ويقيم حالياً بين نيويورك والقاهرة.
