A trained architect and curator, Ahmed Morsi meanders between architecture, writing, publishing, oil painting, archival research, and video. Much of his work explores themes around the spatialization of dissidence and the politics of dilapidation. His thesis traced the history and evolution of adaptive reuse, focusing on the interplay between dissident cultural spaces and arts-led urban development, and received the Fondazione Prada “Premio di Laurea” award. In 2021, Ahmed co-founded Dataland Publications. He later earned a postgraduate certificate in curation at Zurich University of the Arts followed by a curatorial fellowship at Fondazione Prada in Milan. Ahmed continues to practice interior architecture and currently lives between New York City and Cairo.
