معماري ومنسّق معارض، يتنقّل أحمد مرسي بين الهندسة المعمارية والكتابة والنشر والرسم الزيتي والبحث الأرشيفي وتطوير وصفات طبخ. يستكشف الكثير من عمله موضوعات تتعلّق بالفضاءات المدينية الغير ممتثلة وسياسات التدهور. لقد أجرى بحث موسع حول تاريخ وتطوّر إعادة الاستخدام التكيّفي والتداخل بين المساحات الفنية المتمردة والتنمية الحضرية النيوليبرالية التي تُوظّف الفنون.
في عام 2021 شارك أحمد في تأسيس "مطبوعات داتالاند" والتي يعمل فيها كمحرّر إداري ومدير فني. وفي عام 2023، تابع شهادة في تنسيق المعارض في جامعة زيورخ للفنون، والتي أدّت إلى زمالة تنسيقية في مؤسسة برادا في ميلانو.
أحمد يقيم حالياً في مدينة نيويورك.
